Fine Art is developed primarily for aesthetics or beauty, distinguishing it from applied art that has to serve some practical function.
As an award winning artist I take great pleasure in surprising myself. With each painting I try to both learn something and risk something. My thoughts are woven, spontaneously together, until they have created an intricate and compelling fabric of one basic message.

Following retirement from Built Asset Consultancy (which paid the bills), I was able to devote more time to my passion for art. http://youtu.be/AJ2zh2St_mA

As a keen sailor I've spent a lot of my life around water, and with my previous career running Yacht Chartering in the Greek Islands and Beach Club Hotels in Skiathos and Corsica; I've always had an affinity with the sea and water. These themes are often reflected in what I paint.
I'm lucky enough to live on the side of a cliff overlooking the sea.The location is a wonderful place to paint as its a constantly changing canvas.
